Wanju plan comment period still open

Public submissions on plans for WA’s newest city, Wanju, have begun to come in as the consultation phase enters its second month.

A Draft District Structure Plan for Wanju was jointly-released to the public last month by the Shire of Dardanup and WA Department of Planning.

Public submissions on the plan can be made via the Wanju website until Wednesday, July 13.

Meanwhile, the Project Team has shifted its focus towards completion of a separate Draft District Structure Plan for an associated 1350ha area of industrial expansion to be located south of South Western Highway between Martin Pelusey and Waterloo Roads.

Called Waterloo Industrial Park, the second plan is set to be released for a period of public consultation in September.
